RATED! Top New Burger Joints of 2012
Freakin’ Unbelievable Burgers Recognized by National Business Publication!

(Flint, MI) Freakin’ Unbelievable Burgers has been named among the “Top New Burger Joints of 2012” by BurgerBusiness, a national business publication following the top trends in the growing burger industry around the world.

Freakin’ Unbelievable Burgers was the only Michigan restaurant to make the list of 40 burger concepts recognized in the United States and Canada. “We are extremely excited about this recognition,” said owner Brent Skaggs. “We’ve always felt like Freakin’ takes the burger concept to a new level, but this tells us that what we are doing, really is cutting edge.”

According to BurgerBusiness.com, which released the list Thursday, key factors include; being part of a local food community by striving to use local or regional products, the ability to purchase craft beers and alcohol, and the overall emphasis on house-made products, special sauces and signature burgers.

BurgerBusiness cited Freakin’s popular “Fire Burger” which features Certified Black Angus Beef®, pepper-jack cheese, spicy mayo, the popular Cholula hot sauce, jalapeños, onion straws, shredded lettuce and tomatoes served on a locally made brioche bun. “Gone are the days of offering your guests a cheeseburger, hamburger or bacon burger,” said head chef Tim Zimmerman. “We wanted to offer our guests incredible gourmet burgers featuring toppings they either can’t get anywhere else, or have never heard of -or- the ability to build their own burger with 44 gourmet toppings to choose from.”

Freakin’ Unbelievable Burgers opened in May of 2012 in Flint, Michigan. The fast-casual gourmet burger concept is the first location for Michigan based restaurant group Spartan Pastabilities, which also owns Harvey’s Grill and Bar & Hayden’s Grill and Bar.
